Boettcher resigns from Mayfield Council, Smith appointed to fill vacancy

PA MAYFIELD — Mayfield Borough Council accepts Boettcher's resignation and appoints Smith to fill vacancy. Council President Diana Campbell moved to accept Councilmember Bridgett Boettcher's immediate resignation, which passed unanimously. Smith was then appointed to fill the seat until the next municipal election.
The council also approved a $4,220.79 Little League insurance payout, up to $1,000 for athletic complex cameras, and $35,000 from the debt fund for paving. Vegetation Managers Inc. was hired for levee spray and knotweed treatment at $3,895 combined, and the council scheduled a public hearing on the Solar Star 1 LLC solar project.
