PA MAYFIELD — Mayfield Borough Council approves 45.6-acre solar farm in C-2 zone. Council President Diana Campbell sponsored the motion for Solar Star Mayfield 1 LLC, which passed four to two, with Council members Tiffany Smith, Jennifer Rossi, and Wendy Bochnovich voting yes; Council members Tom Hartman and Dennis Ross voted no. The project requires an NPDES permit before construction and a Developer's Agreement with the borough solicitor.
Council appointed Jeffrey Bachak as borough auditor, named Robert Shiels Jr. as borough solicitor, awarded the 2027 garbage and recycling contract to the lowest responsible bidder pending solicitor review, and received a $5,000 Lackawanna County Community Reinvestment grant for playground mulch.
