Mayfield holds 2026 tax rate at 2.15 mills despite reassessment

PA MAYFIELD — Mayfield keeps tax rate flat at 2.15 mills despite property reassessment. The council unanimously adopted the amended 2026 budget resolution and tax ordinance, with Mayor Alexander J. Chelik noting the budget was adjusted to offset the impact of the new assessment.

Council also unanimously adopted a zoning ordinance regulating data centers and approved Police Chief Joseph Perechinsky's contract. Council advanced the Northern Lackawanna Multi-Municipal Comprehensive Plan, scheduling a public hearing for February 11, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., with a formal adoption vote at 7:00 p.m.
