Planning Commission approves 45-acre solar farm project

PA MAYFIELD — Mayfield Planning Commission has approved a 45-acre solar farm at 603 Scranton Carbondale Highway. Solar Star Mayfield 1 LLC received the commission's approval to construct the facility in the C-2 Zone as a principal permitted use, contingent on obtaining an NPDES Permit. The commission also recommended that Council advertise a 45-day review period for the new NORLACK ordinance, during which the Planning Commission will continue to review and comment on the draft.
